A privacy-focused startup approached DwelSoft to build a secure, user-friendly VPN browser extension with integrated subscription management. The client wanted to provide enterprise-grade security features while maintaining simplicity for everyday users who need secure browsing without complexity.

We developed a comprehensive solution that includes browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox, a robust backend infrastructure for VPN server management, and a seamless subscription system powered by Stripe. The platform offers one-click VPN activation, automatic server selection for optimal performance, and a user dashboard for subscription management and usage analytics.

Technical Approach

We built the browser extensions using modern JavaScript with WebExtensions API for cross-browser compatibility. The backend leverages Node.js microservices deployed on AWS with auto-scaling capabilities. VPN servers run WireGuard protocol for optimal security and performance. Stripe handles all payment processing with webhooks for real-time subscription events. MongoDB stores user data and subscription information with encryption at rest. Redis manages session state and server load metrics for intelligent routing decisions.
